Day 11 Santo Domingo to Belorado. 15.6 miles ( 37,000 steps).

So far we have traveled 233 km (144 miles).

We left early again today to beat the heat. Not that we are complaining as we have enjoyed sunshine every day on the Camino but we knew today we would have very little cover of trees. We hit the road at around 6 am. Just as the sun was rising we entered the town of Azofra where we had one of the best glasses of fresh squeezed orange juice! We also enjoyed a tortilla and of course cafe con leche.

Sunrise leaving Santo Domingo.

Steps to the cafe in Azofra.

Water fountains have been plentiful.

We walked through hayfields

More sculptures and a beautiful church we visited.

My knee is hurting but I am walking without issues.

Acres of sunflowers ready to harvest. I am imagining what these fields looked like a month ago!

As we were entering town this lovely Señor gave us yellow plums from his tree. They were so sweet and juicy, just the Camino magic we needed!

Gato ( cat)😀🐱😻 she followed us for a while hoping for treats I am sure, she did gets lots of petting.

This BMW is at our hostel covered with stones, not sure if it runs🤪.

Our alburge tonight.

long day tomorrow!

Buen Camino
