Day 14 A spectacular rest day in Burgos!

This beautiful medieval city has not disappointed us. We started the morning with breakfast and cafe con leche, then attended mass at the Cathedral of Santa Maria. It was a beautiful morning to walk around and get our errands done. We are at the point where we needed to restock on shampoo, toothpaste, electrolytes (which we found that also contains caffeine) Bonus!!

More pictures of the cathedral, just an amazing piece of architecture, construction on this cathedral started in 1221!!

We took the opportunity of free admission to the Museum of human evolution. Once again we were in awe of the historical significance of this region, the dig sites we actually walked near yesterday in Atapuerca. The remains found are believed to be the oldest in all of Europe.

Actual bones from the dig.

Book store!

More sites of the city, our alburge is across from the public library.

Tomorrow we walk to Hornillos,

Buen Camino!
