Day 18 Fr贸mista to Carrion- Only 12 miles and 25,000 steps today 馃榾!

We have walked 370 km so far. Feeling strong and looking lean ( at least in this picture lol)馃槀. Not a lot of great views today for pics but we made the best of it. Started out around 8 am as it was a short day today. It was cold, only 45 degrees when we started and I was wearing 3 layers. Once the sun was up it became quite windy so it never really warmed. I did peel one layer but stayed relatively warm with what I wore. Plan to do the same for tomorrow. Still no rain in sight so we are grateful for that!.

Just outside of town a lovely pilgrim monument. I realized I don’t have a lot of photos of myself so I will do better. Note Amy is taking the photo and you can see her shadow 馃檭.

Mural along the way!

We came across this small village called Revenga de Campos and in the plaza we saw all of these trees that have grown together like they are holding hands. It was incredible.

We finally found a cafe in Villarmentero de campos where we had a mediocre cup of cafe con leche but were blessed with loud rock and roll music by The Rolling Stones ( they played the entire album of “some girls” ) We met a few new pilgrims, Jim who is originally from New York but calls Beijing home.

We reached our destination of Carrion in early afternoon and saw this beautiful nativity at the entrance. Unfortunately the singing nuns are not here tonight so we have missed out. So glad we were blessed by them in Rab茅.

We have a very long day tomorrow making our way to Moratinos! 30 km Yikes!

Buen Camino!
