Day 21 Bercianos to Mansilla de Los Mulas -17 miles (41,000 steps)

We had a lovely day today . We met this couple from Newport Beach California, Ken and Steph, we shared a table at breakfast and walked most of the day ending with a beer about five km from our destination.

We left early again utilizing our headlamps for about 2 hours, sunrise was another treat.

A lot of cool memorial’s along the way, we stopped at a rest stop and there was actually a crochet monument.

I loved this mural just outside Mansilla , especially the dog with the two different colored eyes, like Indy! Not sure of the significance of the meteor about to crash into the church?

Walking across this bridge and I looked down and saw these beautiful greenery in the water ❤️

More of the trees that are holding hands and we are now calling them prayer trees!

So Amy and I are intrigued with the Spanish card games we saw the other night. We bought a deck at the local mercantile and he told us to “google” how to play🤪🤪🤪 we will let you know how it goes.

Tomorrow we are in Leon for our next and actually last rest day before Santiago. We are hosting a pilgrims dinner at our apartment with friends from our first night, excited to see everyone again.
