Day 3 - 17 miles ( 36000 steps)

We had a long day today, we started at 8 am and arrived at our albergue at 6:15, dinner was being served at 7:30 so we had just enough time to shower and wash our clothes. So far best pilgrim dinner on the Camino!

tomorrow we are in Pamplona, so excited to meet Nancy from “you on the Camino” podcast. She was very helpful in my planning and happens to be in Pamplona tomorrow, we connected and she is taking us out for pintxos!

On our way this morning from Roncesvalles!food truck along the way, the sign says if you are looking for a soulmate leave your underwear 🤣.

We have arrived in France

We have arrived in St Jean Pied de Port, France! What a long 28 hours of travel with very little sleep…. 3 hour drive to Boston Logan airport. 6 hour flight from Boston to Madrid. 1/2 hour taxi ride to Madrid Train station. 2 hour wait for our train. 1 and 1/2 hour train ride to Zaragoza with only a few minutes to run ( or in our case walking very fast) to our connecting, only to get there and find it is delayed …phew! Next up a 2 hour train ride to Pamplona. Lastly an hour and a half taxi ride from Pamplona Spain to St Jean France… it was amazing as our driver kept pointing out the trail as we past it … “Look, El Camino!”🤣 We settled in our room, showered and washed our clothes then went to dinner and found some interesting wine to drink together. All in all we are tired but very excited for our hike to start on Friday. Our first comino family we met at the airport in Boston, they are from Biddeford Maine!!
