Day 31 Treacastela to Sarria-12 miles (27,000 steps).

We have arrived in Sarria, what a peaceful, serene and beautiful walk today. We took the traditional Camino route which did not have a lot of services but was so beautiful. We had plenty of snacks with us to eat along the way. But Amy missed her early cafe con leche 🤣 She didn’t kill me. 🥰

We left before sunrise and climbed for about 2 hours. It was a warm morning and the rain had stopped! We did see a little of the sunrise.

A church we passed by and A house with the Camino shell!

We stopped at this yoga alburge to rest our feet, there was no coffee for Amy 🥹 they had a cool stamp and I used the outhouse 🤪 they also had a compost bin for my orange peels.❤️as we were leaving we noticed they had this meditation rock garden.

We continued on through farm lands, mostly dairy farms and chestnut groves. We did finally find cafe con leche!

we had to stop and wait here for about 5 minutes while the cows went to pasture, they all just stopped and looked at us😀🐄🤠we saw more goats today as well.

I saw the pink shell on the sidewalk and had to take a picture with my pink socks.More murals, statues, flowers and me with my new Camino buff I bought in O Cebreiro.

After we checked into our Alburge, showered and did our laundry we went to lunch. We explored this town. We felt very fortunate that we are staying in the old part of the city where the remains of the castle are. We also visited the monastery and walked quite a few kilometers this afternoon.

The door to our roomwe have a lovely private room with a terrace. We will sleep well tonight, tomorrow on to Portomarin.

Buen Camino!
